Scion Gets the Boot

It seems Scion is dead…

What has started as a rumor has become a reality. It weems that employees that were part of the scion division were given a heads up and that Scion would not see it’s 14th anniversary. Those who were told they would no longer continue working at the scion division were told that they would have to re-apply for jobs within toyota.

Scions highest sales were in 2006, in which the had over 175,000 cars sold, however last year they ranked as the 6th lest brands sold in the U.S with a shocking sales number of only 56,167 units.

Scion will slowly phase out and all current models will soon bear the toyota badge until they are all phased out.

CarBuzz Released an Article called :

“FAIL: Stranded Pagani Dragged Off Beach By Used Honda”

Article was written in response to leaked footage and picture of Instagram users’ @Sparky18888 Pagani getting stuck on Gravel during a photoshoot by a lake. In the article on CarBuzz they describe this as a “moment of shame” and said the owner would be “presumably left with a permanent mental scar.”

When will online publications actually write content without taking jabs to car owners. To us over here at Uhh Dope we see this moment as a WIN. The whole purpose of having a car is to drive it and Enjoy it. Whether it’s a Honda CRV or a 1:1:1 Pagani, we all get cars to enjoy them. My hat is Off to @Sparky18888 and all the super car owners who take the extra step to get that cool shot, who go above and beyond to attend and participate in Rally’s, and who truly live the Super Car Lifestyle.

Koenigsegg Regera Unveiled at Geneva

Koenigsegg Breaks another record with the Regera

Koenigsegg unveiled the new Regera yesterday and of course they had to go off and break another record. The Regera uses a gasoline electric hybrid drivetrain that pushes 1500 horsepower. The Car is mainly composed of Kevlar an carbon fiber and weighs in at about 3,500 pounds. The name Regera means “to reign” from the Swedish language and it most certainly does. It can hit 250 Miles per hour under a shocking 20 seconds and 155 Miles per hour in 3.2.They say their 0-62mph is traction.

It is a hybrid, and so it has been estimated tat you can travel up to around 18 miles on just the electric power alone, but considering it is a twin-turbo 5.0-litre V8 chances are your going t want to be on both gas and electric power.At the end of the day Koenigsegg claims the possibility that the Regera can output somewhere close to 1800bhp and 1475lb ft of torque; which in my opinion is absolutely insane considering the fact it is strictly a rear wheel drive car.

The biggest thing that different with this car is that there is no transmission… Wait, hold on.. NO TRANSMISSION? Paul Walkers Brothers Officially Filling in his shoes

It has been announced that Paul Walkers brothers will be filling his shoes in the Fast and Furious film. The Movie is on track to release in April of 2015. The Official Statement is bellow.

A Note to the Fans of FAST & FURIOUS

The FAST & FURIOUS saga is about family. The characters are connected by the bond of family, and it is how all of us who have worked together for more than thirteen years feel about each other. It certainly defines how we feel about our fans.

Our family experienced an unthinkable shock in November. We had to take time to grieve Paul, the brother we love and lost, and to figure out if we should move on with our film.

We came together and all felt the only choice was to continue. We believe our fans want that, and we believe Paul would want that too. Paul had already shot his dramatic scenes and most of his action for FAST & FURIOUS 7, and it’s among the strongest work of his career.

We have resumed shooting and now welcome Paul’s brothers, Caleb and Cody, into our FAST family. Caleb and Cody are helping us complete some remaining action for their brother and fill in small gaps left in production. Having them on set has made us all feel that Paul is with us too.

We are just under a year away from the release of FAST & FURIOUS 7, and this film is the most important we’ve ever done together. It will allow the character of Brian O’Conner to live on and let us celebrate Paul in his most defining role.

We wanted to take a moment to speak to our fans directly and thank you for the love and support you always show us as we resume our work.

F430 Ferrari Get’s Graffiti’d Pro Status

On March 29th something unheard of took place at Martino Auto Concepts.  Something so absurd that even we we’re confused until we found out who else was involved.  Last Saturday a Ferrari F430 got a graffiti paint job, and believe it or not,  it was not an act of vandalism. It was quite the opposite. Legendary graffiti artist John “Crash” Matos aka CrashOne was the man with the rattle can. We had never heard of CrashOne and after doing our research we were embarrassed.  His work has been featured around the world from places like the Bronx to France and Monaco.  Unfortunately we were not there first hand but others present took some awesome shots and videos! This Sunday 50 Cent and TeamSalamone combined Forces. The Spaceship WINNING Lamborghini will be featured in 50 cents new music video for an upcoming album. There was a lot of speculation as to whether it was a music video or a photo-shoot for the foam sneakers he was wearing but now we have confirmed it was for a video. For anyone who has been living under the a rock and doesn’t know what’s so special about this car, let us just say this. The Car itself retails for around 450 Grand and that’s not to include the custom paint job and Chrome plated vinyl that wraps the car. And the Team inside the car is even more spectacular. 50 Cent will also be helping out Bryan of TeamSalamone raise funds towards a charity looking to help build schools and water wells in Zambia. Funds will also help rid of the big issue of women and children being abducted and sold in trafficking and as sex slaves. TeamSalamone has always been one to think of charity and this his support on this matter is no surprise.

What will 50 Cent come out with. We are big fans of his here at “Uhh Dope”. We hope to see more of him around our community and even more of him on our radio! It’s been a while since you came out and dominated our ears. It’s about time you come out swinging!
